Paper Trimming and Cutting
Printed sheets rarely come off the press at their finished size. Trimming is the guillotine cut that takes a printed sheet down to the exact size the job needs, with clean edges and every copy the same. Colorbourne Graphics trims and cuts to size for Melbourne businesses and for other printers who would rather outsource their guillotine work.
What we trim
- Paper printing that becomes flyers, cards, inserts, forms and letterheads
- Banners, posters and other large-format printing that needs finishing
- Small runs and large volumes alike
Trimming questions
Can you trim work that was printed somewhere else?
Yes. Bring or send the printed sheets with the finished size marked and we cut them to size. Many of our trimming jobs are for other print shops and designers.
How accurate is the cut?
Guillotine trimming is accurate to a fraction of a millimetre, which is why artwork should carry bleed: a few millimetres of image past the trim line so no white edge shows after cutting. If your artwork has no bleed, tell us and we will advise before cutting.
